June 1 – It recently occurred to me that I could use this page to journal the goings-ons here at the Mine on a day to day, or whenever, basis. Most of our days are routine. The Mine and Mine Office opens at 9am each day, closes at 4pm each. After 4 I might be working at the Motel cleaning, or running errands in Helena. Today, or by the weekend, I hope to stop by Tizer Gardens (Jefferson City) to pick up some bedding flowers. I know it seems late, but for Montana we’re right on time to avoid night freezes. Afternoon thunder showers now seem to be the norm (as in the late 1990’s and before 10 years or so of little rain these past years). Our valley is green as can be. We’ll miss the long days as after today the days will slowly get shorter.
The Mine is about our guests, about their issues and their process here. This week Harold and Grace from High River AB are waiting out their flooded home; Rick visits from Georgia and has created a WordPress blog about his adventure here. An extended family from Arizona City AZ are camping in the RV campground onsite. Bill & Marcella, from Boise ID, have been long time guests to the Mine too. We’re all sharing eachother’s support, encouragement and information resources.
